OYO is a travel tech startup unicorn that provides a standardized hotel booking platform. Visitors can book trusted yet affordable accommodations in a split of a second through its website and apps. OYO built a strong foothold in 800+ cities across 80 countries.
The mission was to build a booking experience users could trust at scale - quick search, instant results, and a checkout flow that converts. The challenge was not a single feature. It was the full platform: a booking engine, interactive property maps, fast search across thousands of listings, and the reliability to serve users worldwide.
OYO began as Oravel Stays. NCrypted built the original foundation of the platform in those early days - powered by BistroStays, our vacation rental and booking software. That foundation grew into the standardized booking engine behind one of the world's largest hospitality networks.
NCrypted's solutions powered the original versions of OYO Rooms and its booking engine.
The core flow that turned a hotel search into a confirmed booking in seconds.
Property search grounded in location, so users find a stay near where they need to be.
Fast, relevant search across thousands of listings with filters that matter.
A scalable way to onboard and manage hotels, rooms and pricing.
Built to handle high-volume booking traffic across markets.
A booking experience that works as well on phone as on desktop.
OYO went from a fast-booking idea to a hospitality network spanning 800+ cities across 80 countries. The original platform we helped build proved the model: standardized quality, trusted booking, and a catalog that could scale.
We do not publish client revenue numbers. What we can say: the product we helped power grew into one of the best-known travel tech brands in the world, and it remains work we are proud to point to.
Hospitality is a service business, and service runs on communication. Today we would build an AI guest assistant on top of the booking flow - instant answers on check-in, amenities, local guidance and booking changes, grounded in the property's data and escalating to a human when it matters. It would cut the friction after the booking, and give every property a 24/7 front desk.
